Jeff Noska
Jeff’s ceramic work has developed around function. Those seemingly common forms; cups, bowls, plates and various serving pieces become the basic elements of expression. He states, “One of my goals in clay is to take the notion of Art, traditionally reserved for walls and pedestals, and place this work into the hands and homes of those seeking to add more aesthetic quality to their lives.” For over two decades Jeff has incorporated forms and imagery from rural landscape and architecture. Working with shapes reminiscent of silos, barns and granaries he has simplified many of his forms to allow the surfaces, textures and lines to become more essential in his work.
